Cotton Candy Machine

The cotton candy machine
While digging back through all my old photos , i found this picture of a cotton candy machine (alright , its not exactly a ‘machine’ ) that i had built 2 years back. It was made from a toy motor and a badam milk tin can punched with holes. And it really did work!!. You can see the candy that it produced on a glass rod in the pic.

Using the Bipolar Stepper in DVD Drives

I recently bought an old HP Inkjet printer and 2 DVD drives from the local junk dealer for Rs 250. There were 2 stepper motors (which i presume are working) and a timing belt and a 12V motor and many interesting gears in the printer.
I also a found a very interesting linear moving rack system which is driven by a tiny bipolar stepper motor in the DVD drives.
